We're back after a long hiatus! My mom is going to do her best to get my old information up here too so that we remember what was going on with me when I was
really little. You can use this page to see what's going on with me lately. I will also have a link to my family pictures since I'm not the only one getting camera time anymore. I have a fun baby sister now (except when she's taking my toys!!)
We added more pictures today of my birthday party and Halloween. I hope you like them. I had alot of fun in the making. Nothing really new going on here. I'm trying to get over a cold and have been sleeping alot. Today I played in the dirt alot at our neighbor's house. It was my favorite thing to do.
My mama apologizes for being away so long. We had some technical difficulities. But as you can see all the photos have been added from July to my vacation in September with my sister. We'll be getting birthday stuff up soon. Yup, I'm a whole year old now!
Lots of stuff has happened. I'm walking now and finally have some teeth. I'm getting my third one this week. I gave up babyfood around 11 months. I wanted to eat everything that everybody around me is eating. I'm funny like that. If I sit in my high chair, I don't want to eat something like spaghetti. But if mom is at the table, I want it off her plate. It's so much better when somebody else has it.
My birthday part was great. So many people came to visit. I got to see my MawMaw, Grandpa Lee, Uncle Chris, Aunt Tiff, and cousin Logan from out of town. We had breakfast with them for my birthday party and then they hung out all day. Logan and I were supposed to be taking naps in the afternoon, but instead we played with each other over the side of the crib and playpen. It was fun.
At my party were (besides my parents and out of town visiters): Grandma, Uncle Dan, Aunt Beth, Ed (Aunt Beth's boyfriend), Great Grandma Hilliard, G.G. (Great Grandma Langman), Great PapPap, (great) Aunt Kelli, (great) Aunt Linda, (great) Uncle Gary, godparents Stacie and Steve, cousin Lynda, cousin Roxanne, neightbor Lisa, friend Elaina, and I think I'm missing somebody but I'm just a baby! I can't remember all these people. I had so much fun with everybody. When I was given my birthday cake, I picked up a fork and spoon and tried to eat it that way. I wouldn't dig in like most babies. I also had my first mint chocolate chip ice cream. And well, I had a bit of everything else too. People always give me food.
My presents were cool. I was given a bunch of clothes which are all fun and cozy for the fall and winter. I have lots of books now and a new desk which Lisa made to go with them all. Lynda gave me a purple Care Bear which I like carring around because its soooo soft. I have a new ride on toy which I like pushing around the living room. Dada and mama got me a toybox which I climb into every night to play with my toys. Thank you to everybody to came to my birthday. I had so much fun.
Don't forget to look at my pictures of my vacation with Hadley. She showed me all about the beach and I loved it. I can't wait to go back.

Today I had my nine month doctors appointment. I'm just on target with everything. I'm 29 1/4 inches tall which is the 95th percentile. My weight is 21 lbs and 10oz. Mama swears I'm bigger. I'm in the 90th percentile in my weight. Everything is fine and dandy. I hated getting my ears checked, though. There's too much to look around at and see. The only thing the doctor is worried about is my eyes. She says that they're not as quick as they should be. I saw a specialist, though, and the specialist said I was okay.
Last weekend I went to the lake again with my sister for the fourth of July. Hadley really wanted to go. She and I had so much fun swimming in the lake together with Logan. I played alot with everybody. My cousins are pretty fun and make me laugh alot. I wonder if Courtney is still traumatized (big word for a baby) that I threw up on her foot.
Grandma and I are hanging out with each other this week since dad is working everyday now. I play a new version of Peekabo with her now that I stand up in my crib. She peeks around the different sides and I'll look down to find where she's at. I think the game is really funny.
My godmother, Stacie, gave me a giant frog stuffed animal. It's bigger than me. I love to beat it up. I jump on it all day like I'm wrestling. It's so much fun. I'll have mama take pictures of it for everybody. I think she tried to sneak getting it on the video camera but once I saw the camera I wanted to play with the lense rather than the frog.
Menu of the week: The only new thing I tried this week was raspberries. They were too tart for me so I probably won't have anymore for a little while. Mom did make really good lime banana yogurt pops which Hadley shared with me. Those were cold but really good.
Vacation: I had alot of fun on vacation. The only problem is that the car ride was so long. I really like the new car, though. I don't like my new car seat. It hurts my next when I sleep and facing backwards is so boring. When I'm bigger it will be okay, but the new seat doesn't let me lay back as far as the old one.
While on vacation I got to see alot of my family. The first day I went to the lake and saw my Aunts and Uncles on Daddy's side. I thought my cousin, Patty Ann, was really funny. While I was swimming in the lake, she would make alot of faces at me from the peir. I would laugh and laugh. I really liked swimming for the first time. I swam with my Mama, Uncle Chris, cousin Logan, and Daddy. I liked when the waves would come in from the boats passing by. I also go to ride on the boat. My life jacket was so big. I don't like that so much either, but I really liked when the boat bounced.
The next day I hung out with my MawMaw and cousin Logan while Daddy and Mama were picking up my sister from her house. I really like hanging out with Hadley. She makes me laugh all the time. I like her so much that I crawl after her feet now. I'll be hanging out with her until the 4th of July. I'll miss her when she's not around. She's all of fun and helps me out when I get stuck.
Hadley, Aunt Mandy, and Mama filmed me and Kaiden getting into trouble and crawling all over the place. I had so much fun that I passed out on the floor and then in a chair. It's tiring getting into the kitchen cabinets!
This week I'm playing with Hadley alot. I'm also learning how to crawl up on my knees. I do it mostly so that I can reach and pull myself up on things a bit better.
Menu of the Week: I haven't really had any new baby food this week, but I have tried other things. I really enjoy Vanilla Yogurt that I steal from my sister. I tried coleslaw and didn't like it. I ate a whole peice of watermellon that my MawMaw had. I also gnawed on some corn on the cob. I like trying new things. I discovered a really cool thing thanks to Uncle Chris. I love Gerber Vegetable and Fruit Puffs. I eat them all the time. They help me learn to pick up foot with my index finger and thumb.
Sorry I haven't written in a bit. Mama was busy so she didn't let me tell you what's going on. This week I've learned how to pull myself up to standing. Nothing is safe with me now! I can now pull all the DVDs onto the floor. There are so many too look at. I like walking in between people with their help too; although, I like walking on my tip toes rather than my feet.
I hung out alot with Grandma last week and this week. She taught me a fun game called Patty Cake. I think its funny when people play it with me. I hold onto their hands while they clap and sing. I also like making them clap their hands.
No teeth to report yet. I like my gums just fine.
Last weekend I got to see my Granddad's family, the Hilliards. I rolled around in the gross alot and played with my cousin Ashley. I kept crawling after he notebook and markers. They look like so
much fun. Lynda entertained me as usual. She's silly. But she's silly with alot of hair for me to pull :-) I had fun with everybody at (Great) Uncle Wayne's house. I was so tired when I got into the car that I fell right asleep.
This weekend we're going to see my sister and my cousins Logan and Kaiden, and a bunch of other people too. We'll have alot of fun driving around to see folks. I get to swim in a lake for the first time... well, I think I get to be held in a lake. I'll tell you more about it next week, and we'll put up pictures.
Menu of the Week: I didn't have anything new this week, but we've discovered that I really like Squash. I tried waffles and pancakes and didn't like them much. Sugar cookies are good, though.
I don't know yet what Mama and Daddy are going to have me doing this weekend so I'll tell you more about that next week. This week, though, I had alot of fun. I helped Daddy rearrange the living room so I have more room to crawl around. I'm really fast in my walker now and like to chase the kitties alot.
I'm really good with drinking from a cup without a lid. Everytime daddy goes and gets some water, I have to steal some. On Thursday, I stole his whole drink from him. It was funny.
Today the weather was really pretty so me and Mama went for a walk with the stoller. I really like looking at everything outside. We ended up visiting Grandma at her house. I got to laugh at her kitty. She's not as funny as my kitties, though. On the way home, I ended up taking a nap the whole way. You don't know how much hard work it is crawling around and playing with toys and stuff.
That's about it for the week. Next week I'm going
to be eight months old. Maybe next week I'll get up on my knees all the way and crawl. I'm pretty fast now, wait until then. There won't be any stopping me.
Menu of the Week: The things I tried this week and liked were Apples and Ham, Chicken and Wild Rice, Sweet Potatoes and Turkey, and Apple Plum. Tonight I'm going to try Apples and Cranberries. It will be like Thanksgiving for me today since I had the turkey. Now, the things I tried and well... not enjoyed so much... Green Beans and Turkey, Green Beans and Potatoes, and Vanilla Custard. I bet I would have liked the green beans more if they had apples with them. :-) See you next week!
Here's another weekly entry for everybody. This week I got to see more family. We went to my second-cousin, Lynda's house for a Tupperware party. I had fun chasing after her cats and sliding in my walker on her floor. I saw my aunts and cousins and had alot of fun.
I'm doing well with my crawling practice this week. I sit up on my knees alot but I don't crawl on them yet. I can drag myself forward, but usually for incentive. I like chasing after cell phones and keys. I'm good at playing with things in both hands too. I like banding things together.
We had some bad storms this week, but I managed to sleep through it all. I like my sleep most of the time. Sometimes I want to get up and play at night, but not often.
Menu of the Week: This week I tried Chicken and Broccoli. I really liked it, but it upset my belly. So we're going to have to wait until later to have more. I also tried Plums and Grapes for the first time with my bananas and apples. I really liked them, but I'm a fruit feind I think.
I'm almost crawling. I get up on my knees right now and hop myself forward. Daddy says by the end of the week I'll have it figured out. I guess on my big entry on Friday we'll see if he's right. Sometimes, I get too excited and it looks more like swimming and flailing rather than crawling. You'd be exited too if you discovered you didn't have to roll everywhere.
Today we discovered that I don't take to too much broccoli. I like eating it, but when I'm done I spit alot of it back up. Mama probably isn't too keen on having to clean it up off the floor anymore. She let me roll around with a wash cloth so I'd do the cleaning for her. Haha. I actually stole it from her to suck on the water. :)
Yay, look how pretty it is. My new website is almost 100% working now thanks to my Mama. Every weekend we're going to update to tell everybody what's going on with me. You can view the log archives and my photo archives too. That way we'll always remember what I was up to as a baby.
